Lug type butterfly valve, the sealing principle of the lug type butterfly valve:
Three eccentric butterfly valve has two - way air - free tight closing performance. This geometry ensures that the disc seal is in contact with the body seat only in the closed position, so there is no friction or wear, and produces a torque that allows the elastic seal to be "welded" enough to ensure even seal contact.
Triple eccentric geometry:
The eccentric 1 valve shaft is located behind the seat shaft so that the seal is fully tight around the entire seat.
Eccentric 2 valve shaft center line deviates from pipe and valve center line, this is free from valve opening and closing interference.
The eccentric 3 seat cone shaft deviates from the center line of the valve shaft, which eliminates friction during closing and opening and provides an even and consistent compression seal around the entire seat.
Frictionless seal with longer service life:
(1) Seats are Cr13 or stellite hard faced as standard.
(2) The gasket is helically coiled stainless steel/graphite for zero leakage.
(3) Torque during closing creates seat force that is applied uniformly around the circumference. The elastic seal is flexible and vibrant, maintaining the shape of the seat. The uniform action of the compression force along the circumference makes the valve able to achieve bidirectional tight closing. The elasticity of the seal makes the valve body and disc able to contact or expand, avoiding the danger of clogging due to temperature fluctuations. The device is self-aligning.
